Shoot 'em Up

This is one of those movies that a lot of people would hate it. But if you can look past the cheesy dialogue and over the top scenes and see it as it was truly meant to be represented, as a huge satire; then you'd really enjoy this film. I think that's where we as movie goers have become too selfish wanting to watch a masterpiece everytime we go to the theatres and we forget that the main reason we go to the theatre is to be entertained. This movie was entertaining none the less.

Clive Owen plays a nanny that can give Tequila a decent challenge. A nanny? Yes. He takes care of a baby that has a death sentence from a gun-weilding gang. This movie had enormous action and if not for the random unnecessary sex scene (sex sells so I guess not random) we would have non-stop action all the way through (reminiscent of Crank). It's probably one of the shortest movies I've seen at a runtime of 80 minutes but anything longer may begin losing its appeal. Fun movie that's a no brainer.

Shoot 'em Up gets a 7 out of 10.
