I've been trying to sell my Nikon D40 camera, I know I just got it but... i don't have an answer for you. I figured that I might as well try at a fairly decent price ($380, $360 if I like you) for myself and if someone bites then I'll go ahead and purchase the D90.
There's been a couple people interested but still not sold. I haven't had it up for sale that long though. What I am surprised is the number of Nigerian scammers that have contacted me. I've sold a couple of things before but I guess they weren't big ticket items. It's pretty funny reading their emails. I've gotten at least 4 emails from Nigeria, and they all say the same thing as for some excuse to send it over there. Here's one that I love:
"i live in Clintonville WI, I would so much love to have it as i want to present it to my son study photo graphic in an university in nigeria. As for the payment, i will be willing to pay you via paypal as this is the most secured and fastest way to make online transaction. You will also do me a favor as a fellow American by helping me to ship it down to my son. I would have love to do it all by myself but unfortunately, i am on a business trip so am outta the US and i want him to get the stuff asap."
I love doing photo graphic as a hobby. Just be cautious out there if you're trying to sell something. One actually was bold enough to send FAKE paypal emails stating that they already transferred money.
Here's a list of the emails and names of scammers just in case you google'd yourself here because of them.
