So the 1933 remake is the most expensive film to date. Peter Jackson post-LOTR has created this 3-hr long blockbuster starring Naomi Watts and Jack Black.

It was good. That's all that can be said about it. I haven't seen the original but I have seen parts of it. I do say that the film does hold true to the parts that I have seen.

All in all, the movie was A LOT of action. I being an action fan was not disappointed. There was a time that the action was just too overwhelming and my eyes needed to take a break. 3/4 of the way through I did get really bored and wanted the movie to move along. The movie definitly did not need to be that long. Jack Black does seem a little weird in the film but I'm glad they used him.

King Kong gets a 7 out of 10.
